Course information:

In this training, the participants will learn to select and effectively use the best available technologies serving your strategy and your customers’ needs in an optimised way.

The course focuses on making the right decisions when selecting and implementing technology, with customer requirements and processes as the starting point. Participants will learn how the get the correct specifications to set up the right procurement and implementation process.

After introducing the full spectrum of currently available technology, participants will have the skills to select the right technology for their port, in order to better manage processes and procedures and to increase customer services and profitability.

What to expect:

Starting from a process point of view, participants will learn how to implement new technologies to facilitate the operational flows in a cost effective way.

Blue and white collar port professionals working in department operations (planning, invoicing,..).

Junior and senior IT specialists.

What will I learn:

• How to choose and give proper motivation on the correct technology – strategy for terminal related operations.
• How to choose the correct terminal software to manage operations in a cost effective way.
• Do’s and don’ts when buying software.
• Understand the newest innovations related to port operations.

Course fees:

The course fee is fixed at 100.000 Rupees per participant and includes course material, lunches, refreshments, coffee and tea during the breaks and the work visits. Participants of Indian Major ports may apply for a special scholarship for attending the courses.
